Telematics gateway
Telematics unit for remote fuel monitoring and fleet management
Purpose of use
CANUp is the “brain” of a telematic system that combines a GPS terminal, vehicle data interfaces, digital and analog-to-digital data converters. The device provides automatic parsing and analysis data about machinery operation parameters from CAN bus and sensors, converting and processing the data, generation and sending Onboard reports to a Telematics Server or to users directly.
The telematics gateway is used for remote monitoring of complex machinery with many parameters: vehicles, water and railroad transport, equipment of stationary objects. The main monitored characteristics of a vehicle: Route, Fuel consumption, Working time, Technical integrity, Maintenance schedule, Safety.
Reporting
CANUp generates up to 20 flexible Onboard reports adapted to any type of mobile and fixed equipment in accordance with inputted criteria both periodically (Periodic reports) and on Event occurrence (Event reports).
Periodic reports are sent using mobile Internet or Wi-Fi to a server where telematics software generate Analytical reports composed of numbers, tables, charts, mapped routes of vehicles, diagrams.
Event reports can be sent to a server using mobile Internet or Wi-Fi or directly to users by E-mail or SMS. The Event is always attached to exact time and place of occurrence. Examples of detected quick Events:
- “Fuel Drain from the Tank”, “Tank Refueling”, “Interference into Flow Meter Operation”;
- “Onboard Circuit Failure”, voltage surge, pressure drop, “Ignition On/Off”;
- emergency Events (for example – “Alarm”);
- “Satellites detected/lost”, “GPRS is available/not available”;
- truck loading/unloading/overloading, trailer coupling/uncoupling;
- etc.
CANUp provides monitoring of following parameters
- route and location data;
- total fuel volume;
- fuel volume of each tank (up to 16 sensors);
- fuel consumption (up to 16 flow meters);
- axle load (up to 10 sensors);
- temperature and humidity (up to 10 sensors);
- engine operation time;
- on-board power supply voltage;
- time and date;
- other data from up to 100 smart telematics senders with analog and digital outputs and from up to 10 wireless BLE sensors at the same time.
