Fuel consumption monitoring can be carried out by standard car sensors (if possible) and / or additional sensors installed on the vehicle. When using standard sensors, CAN BUS receives data, collected via OBD II or BUS wires.

Fuel monitoring in tank
DUT-E fuel level sensor is designed to measure fuel level in the tank accurately. Information about fuel level can be used as a reference point in fuel consumption calculating. Fuel level sensor minimizes possibility of theft from tank and doesn’t allow driver to report excessive fuel consumption.
Direct fuel consumption monitoring
DFM fuel flow meter is a device for accurate fuel consumption measurement. It is installed in vehicle’s fuel system and measures fuel consumption with high accuracy. Information from DFM flow meter can be used to monitor fuel consumption in different engine modes. Flow meter measures consumption directly, possibilities for fuel theft are minimized.
Standard data using
CANCrocodile is designed for obtaining vehicle operation data from onboard CAN bus. Collected signals are transmitted to tracking device. Information on fuel consumption from standard sensor is transmitted to CAN bus and then is send to server via CANCrocodile without any interruption into the vehicle electronic systems’ integrity.
