Fuel theft prevention
Fuel dumping and fuel cost monitoring

HOW TECHNOTON PREVENT FUEL THEFT
Problem
Every fleet faces fuel theft. But for large fleets with big number of vehicles and employees who have access to fuel, this problem is especially urgent.
Most of the time, fuel is stolen by draining fuel from vehicle’s tank to reservoir or from return fuel line.
- High fuel costs
- Time for investigation
- Inability to plan fuel costs
Consequences
Fuel theft causes direct damage to company, because fleet operation costs are hight. Fuel monitoring system is weak or absent and it allows drivers to manipulate with fuel for their own benefit. Fleet owner loses profit and as a result has less money to further development.
Solution
WHAT TO DO
Fuel monitoring in tank
DUT-E fuel level sensor is used to measure fuel level in tanks of vehicles or stationary objects such as diesel generators. DUT-E sensor provides accurate information about fuel filling, fuel level reduction and allows to detecte fuel theft, which minimizes manipulations with fuel.
Direct fuel consumption monitoring
DFM fuel flow meter is installed in vehicle’s fuel line to measure fuel consumption and determine engine modes. Fuel consumption measurement excludes the possibility of theft from fuel highway of vehicle and provides accurate data about fuel costs.
Standard data using
CANCrocodile / 1708Crocodile are designed to receive data on vehicle operation from the on-board CAN / J1708 bus. Fuel level information is transmitted by standard sensor. Received data is stored and analyzed by tracking device.
FIELDS OF APPLICATION
Our equipment can be used on a wide range of vehicles – from trucks and buses to heavy machinery and stationary objects
