- to RS-232 as text messages (or using Modbus protocol) using ASCIIa protocol.
Compatible with S6 telematics interface, receiving data from up to 8 DUT-E CAN fuel level sensors, calculation and provision of data on the total fuel volume in several fuel tanks using DUT-E COM protocol.
Power supply directly from the vehicle electrical circuit.

Application

MasterCAN V-GATE is used to receive parameters of the vehicle operation from CAN and J1708 buses. It is suitable for any type of vehicles (trucks, buses, agricultural machinery) where J1708 and/or CAN buses are used. To receive data use telematics tracking device with CAN or RS-232 input interfaces.

There are different ways for MasterCAN V-GATE connection to make it work as part of the telematics system. Main of them:

Way 1. CAN Bus data receiving

MasterCAN V-Gate connection to CAN bus can be made using contactless reader CANCrocodile (recommended) or by direct contact. Generated Telematics and FMS messages are send to CAN output automatically. In RS-232 text messages are send with one second interval (ASCII protocol) or in request-response mode (Modbus protocol).

Way 2. J1708 bus data receiving

MasterCAN V-Gate connection to J1708 bus can be made using contactless reader 1708Crocodile (recommended) or by direct contact. Generated Telematics and FMS messages are send to CAN output automatically. In RS-232 text messages are send with one second interval (ASCII protocol) or in request-response mode (Modbus protocol).

Way 3. Simultaneous CAN and J1708 data reception

MasterCAN V-Gate connection to both buses can be made using contactless readers (recommended) or by direct contact. Generated Telematics and FMS messages are send to CAN output automatically.
