Garbage truck monitoring

Solutions for waste collection vehicles
Sectoral characteristics
Waste collection vehicles perform a specific task within the confined geographical area of operation. At the same time, it is difficult to find out real fuel consumption because it depends on the load of the collected waste.
Even with specific positioning system, it is unclear how effective vehicle is, how much fuel is needed for different operational modes.
What is more, waste collection vehicles can be overloaded with garbage, which leads to further deterioration and possible damage of vehicles, to fines in case of exceeding the load allowed on the vehicle axle.
Advantages of the applied solutions
Telematics, integrated into an existing or newly implemented vehicle monitoring system, helps to monitor large number of parameters. Accurate control of fuel consumption helps to determine the actual fuel consumption of the vehicle in different modes of engine operation (optimal, overloaded). Accurate measurement of the fuel level in the tank allows to control fuelling and prevent fuel theft or incomplete filling of the tank. Axle load monitoring prevents vehicle’s overloading and helps company to avoid fines in case of exceeding the load.
In combination with the GPS tracking system, telematics and axle load monitoring solutions provide detailed information on fleet operational costs, which can be further used to improve efficiency and reduce fleet costs.
Required equipment
Can be integrated into GPS tracking systems
DUT-E fuel level sensor
DUT-E fuel level sensor shows the exact amount of fuel in the tank, monitors fuel consumption and detects fuel theft.
- Information about fuel level
- Fuel theft detection (from the tank)
- Fuelling and draining monitoring
- Measurement of indirect consumption

DFM fuel flow meter
DFM fuel flow meter allows to monitor real consumption, calculate fuel costs, monitor hours of operation and detect fuel theft.
- Real fuel consumption measurement
- Fuel theft detection (from the fuel line)
- Monitoring of engine load and operating time
- Engine diagnostics

GNOM axle load sensor
GNOM provides weight control of cargo, prevents overloading of the vehicle, can be used on special equipment. Allows vehicle fleet owners to obtain complete information about loading operations.
- Actual load weight monitoring
- Detecting of hidden load
- Preventing fines for overloading

Crocodile contactless reader
CAN / 1708Crocodile measures fuel volume in tank, fuel consumption and operating hours. The data flow is constant and does not interrupt the integrity of the electronic system.
- Contactless secure connection with the CAN/J1708 bus.
- Data collection from standard vehicle sensors: fuel consumption, fuel level, operation time and etc. (see the specifications of J1939 and J1708).

MasterCAN vehicle data interface
MasterCAN vehicle data interface measures fuel volume in tank using standard sensors (CANbus and 1708bus).
- Safe acquisition of signals from Crocodile contactless reader.
- Processing of all signals available from standard automotive sensors: fuel consumption, fuel level, operating time and others (see the specifications of J1939 and J1708).
- Can be used with a tracking device that does not have a CAN port.

OTHER FIELDS OF APPLICATION
Our equipment can be used on a wide range of vehicles – from trucks and buses to heavy machinery and stationary objects
