Light commercial vehicles are usually used to transport people and objects (goods) within a small geographical area, so one of the most relevant task for these fleets is GPS tracking. Location and number of kilometers are mainly collected parameters, because they show vehicle is used for official purposes or for personal reasons.

Telematics can add additional information to current tracking system such as fuel level in tank, engine’s fuel consumption and load, vehicle’s operation time.

This information can be used for accurate calculation of fuel costs and prevention of fuel misuse.
