CAN/J1708 bus data reading
Purpose of use
Contactless reader Crocodile allows to receive data on vehicle operation without interruption into integrity of vehicle electronic systems.
Crocodile is used in GPS vehicle monitoring systems for obtaining information on fuel consumption, engine operation modes, sensors state, malfunctions, etc.
Data reading is carried out without electrical connection to the wires.
Using contactless readers Crocodile as a part of the transport telematics systems is absolutely safe for vehicle, invisible for onboard computer, diagnostic scanner and other electronic systems. The use of Crocodile is espessialy relevant in guarantee cases, when connection of any electronic devices often serves as a reason to cancel the guarantee.

Compact CAN Bus reader
CANCrocoLITE is the lightweight version of CANCrocodile contactless reader used for data obtaining from on-board CAN bus of cars and light commercial vehicles without interference in integrity of electronic circuits. The compact design makes it easy to connect to wires even in the most inaccessible places. Messages are transmitted without losses at baud rate 250…1000 kbit/s.
1708Crocodile
J1708 Bus reader
1708Crocodile designed for secure vehicle operation data (RPM, speed, oil pressure & temperature, fuel volume & consumption, etc.) obtaining from onboard J1708 bus (SAE J1587). Its use is also allowed for secure data reception from wires of RS-485 bus. Device generate an output signal with information package that matches data of the connected bus.

Connection and operation
- Open CANCrocodile housing.
- Place CAN-High and CAN-Low wires in the grooves of CANCrocodile housing according to the marks on reading surface.
- Close CANCrocodile housing in a way to engage the latch. Put sealing rope through special holes and seal housing, if necessary (recommended).
